Rowdy Carlton

Rowdy Carlton began playing guitar at age 7, playing rock and blues music with friends in a garage band. When he was a teen, he heard a classical guitar piece written by Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads which inspired him. It was much more challenging and seemed like the next step in the progression.

Rowdy studied under renowned classical guitarist Constantinos Jaferis for three years, before Jaferis’ death in 2009.

Rowdy is one of the founding member of the Treasure Coast Classic Guitar Society.  He is the conductor and musical director of the TCCGS Guitar Orchestra.  Rowdy has taught classical guitar for over 15 years at the Bach’s Children Music School in Stuart and is artistic director there.
